The disks are packaged in a in 18x18x6 inch box. Up to two disks can be put together in the box. If sending a set of four disks, each box contains one front and one rear to even the weight between the two boxes.
Rebrake supplies DHL labels and DHL will pickup the boxes from you. The DHL label will have the correct address of our Rebrake Germany office.
Rebrake Friction Layer is special, and you would want to have the same RFL on all 4 corners. But it is not necessary. You can do just the front or just the rear axle.
In the rare occasion that the OEM friction layer is new but one disk has damage, only one disk can be refurbished.
The industry differentiates between Carbon Ceramic Brakes discs, which are manufactured by Brembo SGL (Porsche PCCB, AMG-Mercedes, AUDI, some BMW models). They feature a thin, but hardened top layer. This layer protects the base ceramic rotor from wear, making the brake pads the main wear out component.
The second kind are Carbon Ceramic Matrix (CCM) rotors (Ferrari, Maserati), these discs do NOT have a hardened top layer and wear extremely fast under aggressive driving conditions, either on track or canyon driving. While excellent at braking, the CCM will oxidize and become rough under heavy braking.
